Ending Fall 2007 and Readying for Spring 2008
Dear Students,
By this time, most of you are almost done or have finished your finals. Good luck to those still taking finals and congratulations to those who are done. As you register for classes next semester, please check out http://www.csun.edu/OpenClasses for AAS open classes. I am also writing to inform you that next semester, Dr. Juana Mora will take over as Interim Chair of AAS. We thank her for taking this on and we look forward to a productive semester with her. At the beginning of Summer 2008, Dr. Greg Velazco y Trianosky is scheduled to come in as the new Interim Chair of AAS all the way until Summer 2010. We also thank him for agreeing to this. So, this is my last semester as Interim Chair of AAS. I will be on sabbatical next Spring 2008. I will be in Vietnam and will not have email contact till I get back in August 2008, when I will resume as regular faculty. Dr. Eunai Shrake is still Academic Advisor for AAS and will continue to be so for 2 more years, so please contact her if you need advisement. I hope this had been a great semester for you. Have a nice break and good luck on the new Spring 08 semester. Please be on the look out for many more AAS events including a BBQ social mixer at the Asian House and more class events around April and the Asian American Heritage month of May. ~ Prof. Gina
